Aloha, Julie! How many mobile lamb-chop machines you have now? Ooohh, that's not nice, mebbe you are making woolie stuffs! You probably have a border collie, yah? My cousin's wife is a championship breeder and expert judge for those amazing dogs, in southern Illinois. She demonstrated one or best dogs for us when we were visiting them - such astounding ability, and agility! Are your hens doing OK? I notice that some folks are using their flocks as "contributors" to the dinner table, while others "commit" them to dinner. Very polarized opinions, too...

We've got three dogs Barry and not one of them herds. Our little Aussie keeps trying to get the sheep to chase HER ; ) I'll probably be raising replacement laying hens this year, it's time for those hard working girls to retire. You can imagine that means a nice little chicken retirement home in Florida if it makes u feel better Barry = ))

It is interesting how conditioned we are in the US with PETA and vegans and the anti-fur freaks. Those who live in cities are disconnected from the harmony of nature aka the food chain. That's so cool that you're raising sheep - I had a dream of doing that when I was young even though I was a vegetarian at the time. I love wool and wanted to make cool wooly things.

That's the hard part of raising hens - they become pets and when they stop laying eggs...I guess it's Florida, getting dumped behind Azeka's or the stew pot!
